The Autism Parent summit set out to provide provide parents with the practical tools needed to address the needs of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. The panelconsisted of experts from a wide range of disciplines that are qualified to address concerns about issues affecting individuals on the autism spectrum. Topics included: Diagnosing, Effective Forms of Therapies, Nutrition, Education/IEP, Safety, Social Skills, and Transition to adulthood. Parents had a chance to ask questions that pertained specifically to their child.
A special thank you to all who were able to make it. We are especially greatful to the Institute of Human and Machine Cognition for providing us with an amazing facility to host this much needed event.
