Autism in Ocala:   We wish to open an Autism center here in Ocala Florida.  As previous board members of Ocala Autism Support Network, we were able to see first hand what families who have children on the Autism Spectrum needed and were missing.  In an effort to be able to provide these services, therapies and assistive devices, KidGenius was born.

84% of of our funding comes from the generosity of people like you.

Private donors who wish to make a difference and provide special needs families with opportunities that are not otherwise covered by insurance but are very much needed for the success of their childs development.

What "other" costs do you have?

Administrative expenses consist of things such as printing, or bank fees.  Though we keep these costs at a frugal minimum 14% of our annual income stem from sponsorships that go to cover these mandatory expenses.  We do not allocate donations to cover any administrative costs incurred.

Our most current need:

Socialization though extracurricular activities is vital.  While children without sensory difficulties find opportunities to readily enjoy various programs of educational and recreational activities, the need remains for an enriched physical environment that supports the sensory needs of those that may easily become over stimulated in a neuro-typical environment.

The KidGenius Innovatrium provides the special needs families of Marion County, Florida with a sensory friendly environment adaptive to the needs of the child on the spectrum, by slowly integrating and exposing the child to various extracurricular activities via small class sizes and a well-controlled environment.  This will provide an opportunity for them to learn new skills, improve their talents, self-esteem, and develop relationships with their peers.  Once a child feels secure, they are more likely to attempt to successfully integrate within a more traditional, neuro-typical experience.

Our programs are at no cost to the family, which is why your support is so direly needed.

.  Our current location in which we host these programs is in need of therapeutic toys that can enhance play and assist bonding between parent and child  as well as products that can stimulate and address a child’s vestibular system that will help contribute to the overall participation and enjoyment of our facility.
